DEEP TECH INVESTMENT BANKING ISN’T A FINANCE JOB.

It’s a technology, product management, strategy, marketing, business development, project management, graphic design, venture capital, negotiation + finance job.

Hire a banker with the right skills.

Prior to being bankers, all of our team members have had technology operating experience at semiconductor companies, software companies, startups and VCs. Everyone on the team either has an electrical engineering background or worked in deep tech. We held roles like CEO, GM, Product Manager, VP Corporate Development, and Technical Sales. We’ve seen deals from all sides – as entrepreneurs, as corporate buyers and investors, as business managers, and as bankers advising clients. Our experience gives us unique insights that help us drive the best outcome for our clients.

If you are an experienced deep tech investment banker looking for a better platform, and this resonates with you, please contact us via the firm below.

    Does this sound like you?

    You are seeking

    1. 1

A more transparent compensation model, where most of the fees are shared with the bankers doing the work, not to overhead. You are hands-on and roll up your sleeves on every project. You don’t rely on junior analysts and don’t mind doing more of the work but expect to get paid accordingly.

    2. 2

An entrepreneurial culture without a hierarchical structure or a lot of red tape. You just want to work on deals and not waste a lot of time on overheard or politics. You want to work with a team, but you don’t need a boss. You’d rather be in control of your own destiny than be an employee.

    3. 3

A firm with a deep tech focus, experienced team, and backgrounds like yours.

    About you

    1. 1

Hands-on experience in M&A, either as a banker, venture capitalist or a startup executive for transactions in the $50-250M range.

    2. 2

Background in technologies related to AI/ML, Computer Vision, IoT, and/or Semiconductor Ecosystems. You might have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science or something similar. Your experience may be with software, hardware, or silicon sides of these markets.

    3. 3

Before becoming a banker, you had experience in roles like executive leadership, corporate development, strategy, product management, engineering or technical sales.

    4. 4

You could probably get up and do a demo or give a technical presentation, but also analyze a P&L or model a cap table. You can do everything from pitching a client to writing a CIM to negotiating an LOI, and everything in between.

    5. 5

You are entrepreneurial and successful at business development. You aren’t looking to be an employee, and instead would rather work in a transparent “share what you harvest” business model.

    6. 6

Team player, easy to do business with. You fight hard for your client, but treat people internally and externally professionally, give honest advice, and operate with integrity.

    7. 7

Based in the US, Canada or Western/Northern Europe.
